This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs all use of The Ivory Index Software. By using the Software, you agree to comply with this AUP. IECC reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for material violations.
Article II — Prohibited Conduct
2.1 Absolute Prohibitions
Using the Software to fabricate or misrepresent academic credentials, test scores, extracurricular activities, or biographical information
Generating content designed to impersonate another person in an admissions process
Submitting AI-generated content to institutions in violation of their explicit AI prohibition policies
Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the Software's source code or model weights
Circumventing licence controls, security features, or access restrictions
Using the Software for commercial resale, consulting services, or bulk institutional processing without a commercial licence
Uploading, processing, or transmitting malicious code through the Software's interfaces
2.2 Harmful Use
Using AI outputs to defame, harass, or make false statements about any person or institution
Using the Software to compile profiles on other individuals without their consent
Attempting to exploit Software vulnerabilities or conduct security testing without prior written authorisation
Article III — Enforcement Procedure
3.1 Investigation
Upon becoming aware of a potential AUP violation, IECC may initiate an internal review. IECC has no obligation to investigate, verify, adjudicate, or resolve disputes between Users and third parties arising from User conduct. IECC's enforcement authority is limited to the User-IECC relationship.
3.2 Suspension
Where IECC has reasonable grounds to believe a material violation has occurred, IECC may suspend access pending investigation. IECC will use reasonable efforts to notify the User of the suspension basis unless notification would prejudice the investigation or is prohibited by law.
3.3 Termination
Confirmed material violations may result in permanent licence termination. IECC will provide written notice of termination and its basis.
3.4 Appeal
Users may appeal a suspension or termination decision within 14 days by submitting written representations to legal@imperialecc.com. IECC will review and respond within 14 days of receipt. During appeal, suspension remains in effect unless IECC determines interim restoration is appropriate.
3.5 Good Faith Reporting Immunity
Users who report potential AUP violations in good faith are protected from retaliatory action. IECC will not penalise good-faith reporters even if reported conduct is ultimately found not to constitute a violation. False reports made in bad faith are themselves AUP violations.
Article IV — Reporting Violations
To report a suspected AUP violation, contact legal@imperialecc.com. Reports should include: (i) description of the conduct; (ii) relevant evidence or context; and (iii) your contact details. IECC will acknowledge receipt within 5 business days.
Article V — No Obligation to Third Parties
This AUP does not create any obligation on IECC's part to any third party (including institutions, scholarship bodies, or other users). IECC's enforcement of this AUP is solely at IECC's discretion for the purpose of maintaining the integrity of the Software ecosystem.
